Crap. I'm sick again. My husband and I both have some sort of cold or something. His is in his chest and throat, and mine is in my head and ears. This sucks. We are both managing to go to work, but we feel lousy. Work is going pretty good. They ran out of food today in the cafeteria. Again. They don't give the kids enough to eat, and then they wonder why they keep coming back for seconds. Duh! A ham and cheese sandwich and some peas is just not enough for most of these kids. We had 37 kids who had to wait for them to get more food from the high school so they could eat. Haven't they ever heard of a lunch count? Or balanced meals? I'm not the only one wondering about this. Several teachers are showing their concern as well. I don't know if there is much choice, since I'm not sure if there is another food service in the area. I'm going to eat dinner, watch Survivor and hit the sack. Later.

I noticed I also missed the anniversary of my first blog. Man, November 12, 2000 was my first post. I can't believe I've been doing this over a year! It sure has helped me through some tough times, and let me vent when I'm angry. It's great to have such wonderful friends who actually read this stuff, and care about what I have to say. I wouldn't have this blog at all if it weren't for Deb, so a big thanks and {{{hugs}}} out to you! Not much happening this weekend. We went to see Harry Potter. It was okay, but not as good as I expected. I guess it's tough for any movie to live up to all the hype. Now, I can't wait to go see the Lord of the Rings movie! Is it just me, or is the sound in the theaters just way over the top? My husband said he thinks the same people who run the theaters must have a stake in the hearing aide business. I started my period yesterday, so I've had cramps all day today, and haven't done much of anything. I'm not very hungry for supper, so I think I'm having an apple and a bag of popcorn. I wanted to thank ZuKeeper and Anne for the comments on my Harry Potter post last week. Thanks for seeing my point of view, or at least trying to! *g* I don't believe in condeming anything without checking it out first. And anyone who blindly follows something their minister says without questioning it, well, it scares me. All I can think of is Jim Jones. It's frightening. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against organized religion, just use your head people! Well, that's enough from me. Smell ya later!
