I'm going to whine now. You have been warned. I have been feeling very unappreciated at work. Today especially. It's a long story, but one woman I work with is nice but lazy. She spends a great deal of time sitting, even when we are working in the lunchroom! I work my tail off at work, some days not even getting to sit down. Anywho, our boss told us today that there is a chance that the lazy woman will get to be considered "full-time" library aide, and will no longer have to work the lunchroom. Now this will give her more opportunities to sit and do nothing. I'm not the only one who notices that she sits a lot. Of course, I will still be a peon. I feel like I get left out of so many things since I am part time. Not to mention the fact that I end up staying late almost every day. That is going to end. Starting Monday. Another thing that bugged me is my boss went to a meeting today, and I really needed her to find out some info for me to finish a project. When I asked her if she found out what I needed, she said "oh, we didn't bother discussing piddly stuff." Piddly stuff?? Would it be piddly if she needed the information? Well, that project isn't going to get finished any time soon. And to top it off, our student aide's birthday was today. There was cake and a gift. I know this is going to sound petty, but on my birthday, there was a card. Period. My name wasn't even mentioned on the announcements that morning, like everyone else's is. Maybe I'm just too sensitive. So, I'm kind of bummed out today. I am seriously considering applying for the library aide job at the new 9th grade center, which is being built as I type. I'm sure the other woman will apply for it, too. But if she gets it, that would just mean I could apply for her old job. I'm just feeling unwanted. Okay, enough whining. Rachel had orthodontist Wednesday. I gave blood at the high school on Thursday. Grocery shopping today after work, along with riding the bike. We don't have big plans for the weekend, which is fine by me. If you are reading this far down, thanks. Smell ya later!

Whoa! It's been a while since I blogged. I guess there hasn't been much happening. I'm so tired today. We had company all weekend, and then it was back to work after a week off. I'm nursing a headache, and I can't wait for bedtime. I got some new glasses on Friday. I love them! I got my hair cut on Wednesday. I'm not too thrilled with it, but it will grow out. We went to a riverboat casino Saturday night and had a blast. The food was fabulous, and it was gorgeous inside. My mother-in-law and I played the slots while everyone else just hung out. I only played with $10. I'm not much of a gambler. Needless to say I lost it all pretty quickly. But it was still fun. We went to see my husband's promotion ceremony today. It was really nice. For those of you who care. He is now a Top. That is so cool! His folks took off for home after that and Rachel and I headed back to work/school. Smell ya later!
