We had good things and bad things this weekend. Good things: We went to see Spider Man. It was pretty good! We all enjoyed it, and I can't wait to see the sequel! I found a couple of bras I liked, and Rachel and I both found some cool shoes for summer. I got a new purse and we all had a good time. Rachel made me a beautiful Mother's Day card. And my husband picked up lunch for us today. My neighbor brought over home made muffins for breakfast this morning, since she was aware of our water problems. That was so sweet of her, it made my cry. Now for the bad things: We got tons of rain Saturday night, and we went down to the basement to check on water every hour. At 7:30 it was dry as a bone. At 8:30, we had six inches of water, and our things were floating around. It was awful. We lost our dryer, some board games, a foot massager, and possible our Christmas tree (pre-lit one). I was so furious, I called housing and really chewed them out. Our sump pump wasn't working, and they never bothered to come out and check it after the water on Wednesday night. We have to go in the morning and discuss a settlement amount with them. We spent today mopping and sacking up more damaged items. We also had to go purchase a new dryer. So my Mother's Day wasn't as good as it could have been. My Dad and his wife are coming for supper tomorrow night. I haven't done half of what I wanted to today. I guess they will just have to settle for a messy house. Smell ya later!
