School starts tomorrow. Man, I could use another week off, although it would probably just make it harder to go back.

We went to an amusement park yesterday. Had fun, but I'm beat today. My allergies are acting up big time. Spending a day outdoors doesn't help much.

Wow, what a week! Orthodontist went well for me, not so much for the patient. Her teeth are just now starting to feel better. I will be so glad for her when they come off. I'm sure not near as glad as she will be. We went to the VA Hospital and got our paperwork. We haven't heard anything back yet, so I don't know what that means.

Wednesday we got our hair cut, and went to the Junior High to get Rachel's schedule and walk around so she could get a feel for the place. The inside of it can only be described as a honeycomb design. We found her locker and saw a lot of kids. Orientation is Monday night.

My husband's folks called Wed. night and said they were coming for a visit this weekend, so I spent Thursday cleaning. We had a great visit. Took them out to the lot for the new house, and toured some of the partially built ones so they could sort of imagine what it will be like. Went to a great barbecue place for supper. All in all we had a great time. They headed back this morning.

And I saved the best news for last. My hours at work have been extended! Yippee! Instead of 19 and a half, I now will have 29 and a half! Most people would not be happy with that, but since we are building a new home, the extra money couldn't have come at a better time. I was thrilled. I thought I would be fired or at the very least have my hours cut, so this came as a very pleasant surprise!
